BuildRadar is an Australian development and planning intelligence platform. We answer a simple question: what is being built, proposed, approved or changed around you?
DA Tracking
Most people search for council DA tracking — for example Randwick DA Tracking or Hornsby council DA tracking. Our primary SEO landings live under /da-tracking/nsw, with suburb development pages and project timelines linked underneath.
How we use data
Government APIs and open datasets are ingested into our PostgreSQL/PostGIS database on a schedule. Page requests query BuildRadar — we do not call government APIs on every page view.
Raw source records are stored separately from normalised project entities. Original payloads are never destroyed when we normalise fields, detect changes or build suburb statistics.
If a field does not exist in the source, we display Not available. We do not invent missing information. BuildRadar-derived calculations (nearby projects, suburb aggregates, change events) are labelled as such.
BuildRadar.au does not claim ownership of government source data. Starting coverage is NSW, with the schema designed for Victoria, Queensland, WA, SA, Tasmania, ACT and NT.
